Still Running Through Pain — and Getting Nowhere?
Most runners don't need more rest. They need a plan that addresses the root cause — and a team that actually understands what it means to train. If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone.
Losing Valuable Training Time
Every week spent running through pain or waiting for it to disappear can mean missed training sessions, disrupted progress, and less time to prepare for your next race.
Pain That Keeps Coming Back
Rest and stretching may provide temporary relief, but without addressing the root cause of your running injury, the same pain can return as soon as you increase your mileage or intensity.
Feeling Like You Have to Stop Running
Generic rehab programs may focus on avoiding activity instead of helping you return to it, leaving you frustrated, losing fitness, and disconnected from the sport you love.
Why Dundas Runners Choose The Movement Physio
We built The Movement Physio & Performance for athletes like you — people who don't want to be told to stop running, they want a plan to run better and stay healthy doing it. Our 3-Step Process: From Pain to Peak Performance
Step 1 — Calm It Down
We identify the root cause of your injury through an in-depth movement exam and running assessment, then manage your pain with tailored advice and smart training modifications so you can keep moving while you heal.
Step 2 — Build It Up
You'll follow a progressive, individualized strength program — tracked and programmed through the TrueCoach app between visits — designed to leave you stronger than you came in.
Step 3 — Bridge the Gap
Using objective return-to-sport testing and progressive plyometric work in our on-site gym, we clear you to return to full training — not just pain-free, but more durable and resilient than before.

"The experience was great, and unlike any other physio clinic I had been to before. Through hour-long sessions in the gym that focused on strength training, I saw steady progress… He taught me so much about rehab, load management and how to handle nerve pain. I'd highly recommend The Movement to anyone."
— Dana Y."Dalton was my physiotherapist for a badly torn groin. He demonstrated an extensive knowledge of his craft and it seemed effortlessly came up with a plan and exercises along the way to get me back participating in my recreational hockey. I would highly recommend The Movement Physio & Performance."
— Kyle F."I came to The Movement thinking I would never fully recover and I left being better and more confident than pre-injury… After 2 months I was able to return to work on modified duties and within 3 months I was back full time duties and back to playing sports."

Your Questions, Answered
Everything you need to know before booking your first appointment at The Movement Physio & Performance.
Do I need a doctor's referral to book?
No — we offer direct access physiotherapy, which means you can book directly without a referral from your doctor. You can start with a free 15-minute discovery call with our Client Experience Manager Lauren, who will answer your questions, discuss pricing, and match you with the right physiotherapist for your goals. No commitment required.
What does a session actually look like?
Every appointment is a full 60 minutes, one-on-one with your registered physiotherapist — no assistants, no sharing your session. Your initial assessment includes an in-depth conversation about your history and goals, followed by a detailed movement exam. We may also incorporate a running gait analysis, manual therapy, soft tissue work, acupuncture, or blood flow restriction (BFR) training — all included within your session, never billed as extras. Between visits, your program is tracked and updated in the TrueCoach app, with direct messaging to your physio.
Do you accept insurance, or is it self-pay only?
We work with both self-pay clients and those with extended health benefits (in-network). Pricing is reviewed during your free discovery call so there are no surprises. Most extended health plans cover registered physiotherapy — we recommend checking your plan details before your first appointment.
